Well, I checked the shippings list and I didn't see them on there. I started loving this couple after I started loving Storm x Squirrel.

Bramblekit and Sorrelkit were close playmates in the nursery and remained close friends into The New Prophecy.

~"Just so long as he doesn't behave like his father," Fireheart replied. He stiffened when he saw Bramblekit bowl over one of Willowpelt's much smaller kits, but relaxed again as the tiny tortoiseshell sprang up and hurled herself joyfully on Bramblekit. A Dangerous Path, page 228

~At the same moment Sorrelkit's legs crumpled underneath her sturdy tortoiseshell body and she started writhing in the snow. Firestar dropped his fresh-kill in amazement as Graystripe yowled, "No!" and flung himself on the dark warrior. Darkstripe clawed and flailed at him with his hind legs, but Graystripe's teeth were sunk in his throat and would not let go.

"What--?" Firestar dashed down the slope with Bramblepaw right behind him. The Darkest Hour, page 88.

When Bramblepaw could have always run back to camp to get Cinderpelt, he instead rushed down to Sorrelkit and stayed there until Firestar had to remind him about Cinderpelt. Sure, he could have rushed over to Sorrelkit because he likes following Firestar, but don't apprentices automatically do the dirty work of running to get help, with no reminding?

~"My kit! Where's my kit?" It was Willowpelt, racing up the ravine with Bramblepaw. The Darkest Hour, page 90

When Bramblepaw could have stayed and told Tawnypaw what was happening, he came back. When he could have taken a breather for lost energy.... he came back.

~"Thanks," Bramblepaw mewed. He took a few steps up the ravine and glanced back. "Sorrelkit will be okay, won't she?" The Darkest Hour, page 93

=The New Prophecy=

Sorreltail was also the first cat introduced to us that showed no suspicions or distrust about Brambleclaw whatsoever.

~He was about to go and join the white warrior (Cloudtail) when Sorrelpaw sprang up and came bounding across the clearing toward him.

"It's today!" she announced excitedly.

Brambleclaw blinked. "What is?"

"My warrior ceremony!" With a little mrrow of happiness, the tortoiseshell she-cat hurled herself at Brambleclaw; the unexpected attack bowled him over and they wrestled together on the dusty ground, just as they used to when they were kits in the nursery....

*skip a few lines*

"All right, all right, that's enough." Brambleclaw cuffed Sorrelpaw gently over one ear and scrambled up. "If you're going to be a warrior, you'll have to stop behaving like a kit."

"A kit?" Sorrelpaw meowed indignantly. She sat in front of him, her fur sticking up in clumps and covered with dust. "Me? Never! I've waited a long time for this, Brambleclaw."

"I know. You deserve it." Midnight, pages 10-11.

He could have said, "I know, you certainly have." Or just an 'I know.' Instead he said, "You deserve it." I just found that sweet, for some reason.

Well, after he said that he recalled all of Sorrelpaw's misfortunes throughout the past few moons, which resulted in a bit of silence.

~"I've just taken fresh-kill to Ferncloud," she (Sorrelpaw) meowed to Brambleclaw. "Her kits are beautiful! Have you seen them yet?"

"No, not yet," Brambleclaw replied. Ferncloud's second litter of kits had been born only the day before.

"Go now," Sorrelpaw urged him. "You've just enough time before we hunt." She sprang p and danced a few steps side-ways, as if all her energy had to go somewhere.

Brambleclaw set off for the nursery.... Midnight, pages 11-12.

I thought it strange how Sorrelpaw asked Brambleclaw about kits. Toms aren't usually interested in kits, and it seems as if the awkward silence was too much to bear for them, and Sorrelpaw just wanted to think of something to break the silence. Also, as she dances away like that, I'd like to think that she was a little lovestruck. xD Notice that Brambleclaw looked after her until she was gone before going to the nursery?

Last of all came Sorrelpaw with her mentor, Sandstorm. her tortoiseshell fur was freshly groomed, her white chest and paws shining like snow. her amber eyes gleamed with pride and suppressed excitement as she paced across the clearing. Midnight, page 20.

Brambleclaw seems to notice a lot of things about Sorrelpaw, hmm?

She sat with her tail curled around her paws and her gaze fixed on the darkening sky, where the light of Silverpelt grew steadily stronger.

With the ceremony over, the rest of the cats slipped away into the shadows. Brambleclaw stretched and yawned, looking forward to his comfortable nest in the warriors' den, but content to stay in the clearing for a while to enjoy the warm evening. Midnight, page 22

Maybe he didn't want to leave Sorreltail just yet?

Well, after Moonrise and Dawn, these clues sort of diminished. Brambleclaw had (stupidly) fallen for Squirrelpaw, and Sorreltail had sought company in Brackenfur. Except for some last moments of glory in Sunset.

~Leafpool led the way into the nursery (where Sorreltail and her kits were), followed closely by Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight, and Rainwhisker. Sunset, page 24

Notice that Brambleclaw was the first cat behind Leafpool, and following close behind.....

~They're beautiful kits," Brambleclaw said, trying to distract her. He got a good look at the newest members of ThunderClan for the first time. Sunset, page 27

I'd like to think that, even with Squirrelflight there, he felt a faint pang of envy, of a little bittersweet feeling that Sorreltail had finally gotten what she wanted, but not with him.

And the last little "moment"....

~"They all look strong and healthy," Brambleclaw meowed. "Come on, Squirrelflight, we have a job to do for Cinderpelt, now."........ He nudged Squirrelflight's shoulder. "Come on," he repeated..... Sunset, page 27-28

While the quote went on to say that Brambleclaw had just wanted to leave Leafpool alone with Rainwhisker and Sorreltail, I'd like to think that Brambleclaw not only wanted to take Cinderpelt's body out so that Sorreltail would be comfortable, but because he wanted to leave before Squirrelflight detected any last remaining feelings for Sorrel.

Besides, after Brackenfur showed like... NO grief for Cinderpelt (own littermate) at all, walked past her body, didn't help carry the body out, and didn't even hold a vigil for her, I don't like him anymore and think he's a wierd, unattached cat that should just go away........ <_<

Well, that's it, please no Brackenfur lovers flame me, not in the mood.

I love this story Alex! You introduced the characters so well and obviously put a lot of effort into this chapter. I love the detail and I can just imagine Pecan singing.

Rolf is cool! I can see Rolf x Coco, 'cause Coco is really beautiful. I really like her hair, her design matches it nicely.

Alone

Alone.......

I feel so alone.........

I can never know, though.

Haunt Me, by Sky Lily, in honor of the tragic ends of the meerkats in Season 3.

I sit in a field, and I watch them go by;
Tufts of clouds, seems like thousands of them.
Coming and going, coming together,
blowing in the wind, melting in the sky.
I must be going crazy, for one wild moment...
I think of you in that sky. And I have to turn away.
That's the last thing I expected to think,
and tears gently roll from my eyes.
I never thought you'd leave so suddenly, so soon.
Without warning, thought, a last word.

...I never thought there'd be me without you.

I know your plan's been done through now,
but back here on Earth, it's hard to survive.
Once again, another loved one gone before my eyes.

2. You must have a particular name for your roleplay. The topic cannot be entitled, just, "my zebra roleplay" or something like that. It must be named. (example: The Cameroon Pack!)

3. Do not make your character attack or harm somebody's character that you are not getting along with in real life. Roleplay should not be used to get back at others.

4. Don't make your character all powerful and invincible to all attacks. Let your character get hurt, and fight fair with others. This kind of immature behavior is also known as "god modding".

Nightcloud, Breezepaw, and Crowfeather

Ok, I'm just going to state my opinions in a one-shot post, pretty much....

Crowfeather

In the beginning, I thought he was a cute, spunky little guy even if he was prickly. And.......... Oh gosh, please don't shoot me for this....

I was even thinking that he and Squirrelpaw might get together. Of course, now I prefer her with Stormfur but that's another story...

I think that Crowpaw x Feathertail was the best couple involving Crowfeather at all. People call it a crush, but is dying for someone you love a crush at all? Is naming yourself after that lost love just "puppy love"? No, that was true love and pretty much the only couple in the New Prophecy series that had true love.

I was even hoping that Crowfeather would die doing something noble so he could be reunited with Feathertail in the end. But nope, that didn't happen now did it? -_-

Instead, Crowfeather lived to charm Leafpool into thinking that he was the best thing ever because he saved her life, and got people to hate Leafpool. I personally don't really like how she just left the Clan like that, but at least she came back. Crowfeather only came back because he didn't really have a choice =/

And today, Crowfeather is an unsocial jerk. Just like Leafpool, he charmed Nightcloud into thinking that he was someone that she could love and be loved and nutured by. In return, she gave him a son and all her heart and what does he do? Forget that she's even there at times and spend his time moaning and weeping for she-cats that he should just get over already. He neglects his son and hates his guts just because he didn't have Breezepaw with Leafpool, and he and Leafpool give bat eyes at each other even with Nightcloud there, at times. This really happens, especially in the Sight when Breezepaw and Lionpaw are in the medicine den after their little cave-in.

All in all, I don't like Crowfeather anymore =/ I hope he becomes evil or something and everyone kills him.

Nightcloud and Breezepaw

You absolutely have to give props to Nightcloud. She is seriously the ultimate mother and faithful mate, even when her job isn't all that rewarding....

Nightcloud never stole Crowfeather from Leafpool, nor did she think that she had "won" some "prize" or something. All she knew was that Crowfeather claimed to love her, and that he was a good warrior. I think that Nightcloud and Crowfeather had been good friends for a long while, and when Crowfeather returned to the clan, Nightcloud was the only cat there who didn't shun him. Perhaps, for this, Crowfeather saw his chance to fit in and decided to use Nightcloud as a ticket out of the shame-rank.

Nightcloud must have secretly felt something for Crowfeather already by the time he asked her to be her mate, and she probably thought that her dreams had finally come true. So, she agreed to be the mate of the cat she loved, and even gave him a kit- Breezepaw.

And in return?.......

Nightcloud found herself suddenly being ignored, forgotten, not paid attention to. She found Crowfeather gazing either up at the stars or across the ThunderClan border wistfully, pining to himself for mysterious reasons and probably refusing any comfort she offered, maybe even harshly telling her to just leave him alone. Imagine how this must hurt. Both we and Nightcloud know that if circumstances magically allowed it, Crowfeather would dash Nightcloud into the dust for Leafpool in a heartbeat. Nightcloud knows this very well, now, and Crowfeather Leafpool's constant, heart-achey emotions whenever they are around each other only slaps Nightcloud in the face. Both Leafpool and Crowfeather are being complete, selfish idiots around Nightcloud and they both need to give her respect.

As for Breezepaw, it is clear that he's only so prickly and bratty because he, too, can tell that his father doesn't really like him. We haven't seen Breezepaw's unknown struggle to make himself exist in his father's eyes until the scenes in Outcast and the sneak peeks from Eclipse. It's unfair to call him a brat or call him ungrateful when it's his father who's ungrateful of his very existence. All Breezepaw and Nightcloud have is each other, and they deserved much more than this, half the life that such a good queen and spunky little kit should have.

I love Nightcloud, love Breezepaw, and hate Crowfeather.

It's Nightcloud who deserves better, not Crowfeather. Not that jerk.
